The Doves’ Nest, and Other Stories

by Katherine Mansfield

The stories Mansfield was working on in the last year of her life, some finished and some fragments, gathered by her husband John Middleton Murry after her death in January 1923. Among them are “The Fly” and “The Doll’s House”, in which the Burnell children are given a doll’s house and the little Kelveys are not allowed to see it. The unfinished pieces show how she built a story.
