Fantasy

The Hollow Land

by William Morris

William Morris wrote this tale of a feud, a fall and a lost valley when he was twenty-two, for the Oxford and Cambridge Magazine, which he paid for himself, in 1856. It is dreamlike and violent by turns, and set in no country on any map. Thirty-five years later he would print fine books; here he is still a young man in love with Malory.
