Handbook of Nature-Study for Teachers and Parents

by Anna Botsford Comstock

Anna Botsford Comstock, the first woman to be made a professor at Cornell, wrote this for teachers who were asked to teach nature study and had never been taught it themselves. It runs to some nine hundred pages, from birds and fishes to trees, stars and the weather. It has hardly been out of print since 1911.
