The Warlord of Mars
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textJohn Carter chases the villains who have carried off Dejah Thoris across the whole of Barsoom, from the southern pole to the frozen north. It completes the first Barsoom trilogy and is pure momentum. The hothouse cities of the yellow men, under their glass domes in the ice, are among Burroughs’s best inventions.
