The Gods of Mars
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textJohn Carter returns to Barsoom and lands in the Valley Dor, the Martian heaven, only to find it is a trap kept by a false religion. Burroughs’s second Mars book is his angriest and one of his most inventive: white apes, plant men and the black pirates of the south.
