The Library After Dark

Journey

We of the Never-Never

by Jeannie Gunn

In 1902 Jeannie Gunn went with her new husband to the Elsey cattle station on the Roper River in the Northern Territory, where the stockmen called her the Little Missus. Her husband died there of malarial dysentery the next year. Her account of that year, published in 1908, is in part a memorial to him.
