Journey

Recollections of a Tour Made in Scotland

by Dorothy Wordsworth

In August 1803 Dorothy Wordsworth set out with her brother William in a jaunting car to tour Scotland, and at Dumfries they visited Burns’s grave and the house where he had died. Coleridge went with them for the first fortnight. Her journal was not published until 1874, and it is one of the best travel books about Scotland.
