The Innocents Abroad

by Mark Twain

Twain joined a pleasure cruise to Europe and the Holy Land in 1867 and reported back with irreverent delight. It made him famous. He mocks tourists, guides and the Old Masters, and sometimes, when he forgets to joke, he is moved.
