Comedy

Piccadilly Jim

by P. G. Wodehouse

A young man tries to break off his own engagement and instead gets recruited into rescuing everyone else’s. Wodehouse builds these plots like clockwork and then, generously, lets you watch every gear catch. It is not a serious book, and it does not want to be.
