The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textThe narrator sets out to tell the story of his life and does not manage to be born until the third volume. Sterne’s novel includes a black page, a marbled page and a great many digressions about noses. It is proof that experimental fiction is as old as the novel itself.
