Ghost Stories of an Antiquary
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textMontague Rhodes James was a medieval scholar who wrote these to read aloud to friends by candlelight at Christmas. His ghosts are glimpsed rather than seen: a whistle found in a ruined preceptory, a scrapbook that should not have been bought. Read “Oh, Whistle, and I’ll Come to You, My Lad” last, and not alone.
