Audubon and His Journals, Volume 1

by John James Audubon

John James Audubon spent most of his life travelling to find and paint the birds of America, and these are his journals, edited by his granddaughter Maria. This volume includes his voyage to Britain in 1826 to find engravers and subscribers for The Birds of America. The great plates themselves were engraved and coloured in London by Robert Havell.
