Ten Days That Shook the World

by John Reed

John Reed’s eyewitness account of the Bolsheviks taking power in Petrograd in November 1917, published in 1919 with an introduction by Lenin. Under Stalin it was suppressed in the Soviet Union, because Trotsky is everywhere in it and Stalin hardly at all. Reed died in Moscow in 1920 and is buried by the Kremlin wall.
