Philosophy

Meditationes de prima philosophia

by René Descartes

Six meditations in which Descartes doubts everything he can, and finds the one thing he cannot doubt: that he is thinking. From there he tries to prove God, the world and the difference between mind and body. He wrote them in Latin for the scholars of Europe, and published them in 1641.
