Apicii librorum X qui dicuntur De re coquinaria quae extant

by Apicius

The only cookbook to survive from ancient Rome: sauces, stuffed dormice, flamingo and a great deal of fish sauce. It carries the name of a famous gourmet, but was put together long after him. Some of the recipes can still be cooked, if you can find the ingredients.
