The Naturalist in La Plata

by W. H. Hudson

W. H. Hudson grew up on the pampas of Argentina and remembered its birds all his life in England. The Naturalist in La Plata, from 1892, is about the creatures of the plains, with stories from his boyhood among them. Green Mansions, his novel of the forest, is elsewhere in the library.
