The Coming of Cuculain

by Standish O’Grady

Standish O’Grady’s retelling of the boyhood of Cúchulainn, the Hound of Ulster, published in 1894. His histories of heroic Ireland, written in the 1870s, set the young Yeats and his friends alight, and he is often called the father of the Irish literary revival. This short book is the best place to meet him.
