Seven Short Plays

by Lady Gregory

Seven one-act plays Lady Gregory wrote for the Abbey Theatre, among them Spreading the News, in which a rumour grows into a murder, and The Rising of the Moon, in which a policeman meets a rebel on a quay at night. She founded the theatre with Yeats. The plays are short, funny and very good read aloud.
