Myths and Folk Tales of Ireland

by Jeremiah Curtin

Jeremiah Curtin, an American and the son of Irish emigrants, took these stories down from storytellers in the west of Ireland in the 1880s. There are giants, enchanted princesses, the Fianna and a great deal of cunning. Curtin was a gifted linguist who also translated Sienkiewicz’s Polish novels into English.
