Wonder

The Hunting of the Snark

by Lewis Carroll

A crew of ten, every one of them named with a B, sails off with a map that is a perfect and absolute blank to hunt a creature that must on no account turn out to be a Boojum. Carroll called it an agony in eight fits. Readers have called it nonsense, allegory and prophecy, and have argued about the ending ever since.
