The Library After Dark

Adventure

Robbery Under Arms

by Rolf Boldrewood

Dick Marston, in prison under sentence of death, tells how he and his brother fell in with the gentleman bushranger Captain Starlight: cattle-duffing, the goldfields and long rides ahead of the troopers. Rolf Boldrewood was the pen-name of Thomas Alexander Browne, a squatter who became a police magistrate and goldfields commissioner. It came out as a serial in the Sydney Mail in 1882 and 1883, and has hardly been out of print since.
