The Trial
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textJosef K. is arrested one morning, on his thirtieth birthday, without having done anything wrong, and is never told the charge. Kafka left the novel unfinished and asked for it to be burned; his friend Max Brod published it instead. The parable “Before the Law”, told inside it, is worth reading twice.
