Flint and Feather

by E. Pauline Johnson

E. Pauline Johnson, Tekahionwake, was the daughter of a Mohawk chief and an English mother, born on the Six Nations reserve by the Grand River in Ontario. For seventeen years she toured Canada, the United States and London reciting her poems, in a buckskin dress for the first half and an evening gown for the second. Flint and Feather, of 1912, gathers them, with The Song My Paddle Sings.
