Tales from the Arabic

by John Payne

When John Payne had finished his Nights he found more stories in the Arabic editions printed at Breslau and Calcutta that his text had left out, and in 1884 he published them in three volumes as Tales from the Arabic. Burton drew on them for his own Supplemental Nights. Like Payne’s Nights, they were printed for subscribers only.
