Conscience

The Idiot

by Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Prince Myshkin, gentle, honest and just back from a Swiss sanatorium, arrives in St Petersburg society and is taken for a fool. Dostoyevsky wanted to portray a truly good man and see what the world would do to him. The answer is not comforting, but the book is unforgettable.
