The Man from Snowy River

by A. B. Paterson

A boy on an unmanageable colt joins a mustering of wild horses that grown stockmen had already written off as unrideable. It is barely more than a long poem’s length, and every line of it moves at a gallop. Read it once quickly, the way it is clearly meant to be read.
