The Private Diary of Dr. John Dee and the Catalog of His Library
Read it in the Library After Dark Or read it as plain textThe private diary of an Elizabethan scholar and magician, listing the volumes of his own extraordinary library alongside his experiments in alchemy and angelic communication. Dee kept meticulous records of both his books and his conversations with entities he was quite certain were real. This is, without much competition, the strangest catalogue ever kept of any collection, including this one.
