Bibliomania; or Book-Madness

by Thomas Frognall Dibdin

A learned, cheerfully self-aware treatise on the compulsive disease of book-collecting, written by a man who was, by his own frequent admission, incurably afflicted by it himself. Dibdin coined much of the vocabulary book-collectors still use to describe their own affliction. Reading it in this particular room feels less like study and more like a diagnosis.
