Among the Millet

by Archibald Lampman

Archibald Lampman was a clerk in the Post Office Department in Ottawa, and wrote in his spare hours some of the finest poems of the Canadian seasons, of heat and frost and the country round the capital. This, his first book, came out in 1888. He died in 1899, at thirty-seven.
