The Library After Dark

Mystery

New Arabian Nights

by Robert Louis Stevenson

Stevenson’s first book of stories, published in 1882, sends Prince Florizel of Bohemia through London at night in disguise, as Harun al-Rashid goes through Baghdad in the Nights. In The Suicide Club he joins a club whose members draw cards each night to see which of them will die, and which of them will do the killing. The Rajah’s Diamond follows a jewel from hand to hand.
