Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus

by Ludwig Wittgenstein

A short, severe book that tries to draw a hard line around everything that can honestly be said, and ends by admitting most of what matters lies past that line. The final sentence instructs you to be quiet about it. Wittgenstein later disagreed with his own conclusions; I admire the honesty of that more than the book itself.
