Birds, Illustrated by Color Photography, Vol. 1, No. 1, January 1897

by Various

Birds, Illustrated by Color Photography, a Chicago monthly of 1897 and one of the first magazines to print photographs in colour. The birds were mounted specimens posed on branches, which is why some of them look a little startled. Several pieces are written as if the bird itself were speaking.
