Poetry

Catulli Carmina

by Catullus

Love poems, insults, epigrams and elegies from the young poet who fell for “Lesbia” and could not get over her. “Odi et amo”, I hate and I love, is two lines long and has never been bettered. Catullus died at about thirty, and his poems survived in a single manuscript found in Verona.
