The Library

by Andrew Lang, with Austin Dobson

Lang writes as a collector who knows the disease and has no wish to be cured. He wanders through bindings, early printers, auction rooms, and the enemies of books, from bookworms to borrowers. Dobson's closing chapter on illustrated books is the reason this copy is never quite put away.
