The Library After Dark

Book Care

The Small Library

by James Duff Brown

Brown assumed his reader had very little money, a room of modest size, and a great deal of goodwill. The book is practical to the point of tenderness: which editions to buy, how to shelve them, how to keep damp and careless hands away. Every small library that survived owes something to advice like this.
