Extraordinary Voyages

Off on a Comet! a Journey through Planetary Space

by Jules Verne

A comet grazes the Earth and carries off a slice of North Africa, complete with a French captain, his Russian rival and a handful of stranded people, on a two-year voyage around the Solar System. Verne plays with celestial mechanics as freely as with national stereotypes.
